Fall Arts Reviews by Adam DeBacker, age10

Springfield Little Theater presented HONK, Jr. I saw it October 12th. The character that really stood out the most was the cat. He was pretty sly and tricky. Zac Miller-Markworth played the cat. He is a really good singer and dancer.
HONK! was originally the ugly duckling. Hans Christian Anderson wrote the story, and he also wrote The Emperor's New Clothes. Here are some of the lessons that the story taught: Never judge your appearance; Don't let the cat convince you that you're friends (even though he is the bad guy); Never run away.

I went to JK Hammons Hall (when it) presented The Pajama Game. It was about factory workers making pajamas and at the end they got a raise because the manager didn't give them the money. Some songs stood out like: Hey There, Steam Heat, Once A Year Day, and Hernando's Hideaway. I didn't hear them (all), because their microphones were not working and don't let the hats fall off.

The sets of this show were very well detailed. The lighting was memorable. I especially loved the acting and dancing, and I wanted to have a costume and act, sing, and dance and just have a good time. Some of the characters stood out like: Troy, Chad, Zeke, Jason, Sharpay, Ryan, Gabriella, Taylor, Kelsi, Mrs Darbus, and Coach Bolton. The one that especially stood out was a good friend and a great singer and dancer: my favorite Nikki Calloway. It made me cry when Troy and Gabriella kissed. I learned that dreams can come true if you believe in them.
