September 22 was Ozarks Area Unschoolers day at
Onondaga Cave State Park
Our all-day field trip for homeschooling families from southern Missouri brought together 50 kids and parents to explore one of the most beautiful caves in the state.
The day began with a short program on cave life and history followed by a 90 minute walking cave tour. Following a picnic break, we had an introduction to Rocks and Minerals and some time to enjoy the great Ozarks outdoors hiking trails. Thanks to the park staff and all who attended!
