The Ecological Inventory and Monitoring Program Scientists of The National Park Service presented a program for our science club on November 3 to demonstrate the use of GPS technology for data collection. We learned about the history of GPS and how it works, then worked as a field crew to locate invasive lespedeza plants which were mapped by the NPS staff and will be used in their reporting.
